Matt will describe the route his company has taken to get the cycle scheme on the ground, including:
-The Tender process including the pre-qualification, the tender and its variation
-Developing the Scheme including the on-street and operational solutions, internal operations and the challenge of getting to go live,
-Facts and figures of the scheme, including what was delivered in Phase 1, the tweaks eg at Waterloo station and where the scheme is going in Phase 2 and the Olympics.
Matt McNulty is a Civil Engineer with 22 years experience predominantly in the field of Traffic Engineering.
Matt has worked in both the public and private sector, having been a Traffic Engineer for Hastings Borough Council for 9 years, before moving to Parkman (then Mouchel) for 10 years. Initially as a Group Manager, Matt became Contract Director and then moved to Serco in December 2008 as Head of Business Development for Transportation Systems in London. He has made a significant contribution to Serco’s winning bid, and the subsequent role with the design, construction and Installation of Phase 1 of the London Cycle Hire scheme. Matt now carries the role of Technical Design Authority in the scheme's continuing evolution.
