CIHT Scotland is delighted to join with CILT and ICE Scotland to bring you this webinar which will focus on Lumo - a new the all-electric, open-access operator between Edinburgh and London Kings Cross.
Lumo is the new open-access operator between Edinburgh and London Kings Cross that commenced operation in October 2021.
Offering opportunities to “Travel Well, Beyond Expectations”, Lumo is helping to improve regional connectivity while offering alternatives to Edinburgh, Newcastle and the London Airports.
Owned by FirstGroup, the all-electric Lumo is not just any old train but a new service armed with some smart thinking that is aiming to shake up the industry and revolutionise the way we travel. Already its arrival has seen a significant shift in the modal split between air and rail for Edinburgh-London travel.
Martijn Gilbert joined First Rail from the bus sector in September 2022.
The webinar will be jointly held with CILT Scotland and ICE and places can be booked via CILT and are free for CIHT members to attend.
This webinar is open to professionals from across the transport sector, in particular those with an interest in the planning and operation of public transport services. The event though will be of general interest to anyone who travels on the east cost line and uses public transport more widely.
