About this event
This event will discuss the project lifecycle of a nationally significant infrastructure project carried out on behalf of Highways England and the benefits of overseeing a project from its conception to its final delivery.
Three experts who have seen the scheme through its development will outline the processes and linkages involved at each stage of delivery.
• Keith Barber (Traffic Team Lead) will first discuss the transport planning elements that informed the development of the scheme; including traffic modelling, business case and identification of a preferred option.
• Keith will be followed by Tim Worrall (Design Manager), who will outline how the agreed concept was taken forward to detailed design.
• The final presentation will be given by Will Chan (Senior Site Representative) and will look at how the design was implemented during the construction phase how this was achieved with minimal disruption to the network.
Refreshments will be provided from 17:30, with the first presentation beginning at 18:00.
