Overview 

CIHT South East has secured this opportunity for members of the region to visit a site of crucial infrastructure. 

The M27 J10 improvement scheme is being undertaken to allow the construction of Welborne Garden Village, a 6,000 house development north of Fareham, replete with schools, doctors surgeries and large employment opportunities. The scheme delivers a new all-ways access junction with the M27, pedestrian and cycle facilities, and future proofed connections to the new development area. 

There will also be a focus on the construction of the new underpass structure, pushed into place under the M27 during a closure of the motorway during Christmas 2025.
