M5 Oldbury Viaduct - Project Seminar
M5 Oldbury Viaduct
The M5 Oldbury Viaduct forms part of the Midlands Links Motorways and was constructed in the 1960s. It carries over 100,000 vehicles daily on the Western side of the Midlands through Sandwell and over a number of obstacles including canals, railways and local roads. After around 50 years’ service the viaduct’s deck and drainage have reached the end of their serviceable life. Intervention is essential due to its condition and other major schemes planned in the area later this year. This scheme is the highest-value concrete repair in the UK and is vital to keep traffic moving and maintain economic growth in the wider West Midlands.
This event is open for members and non-members. Refreshments will be provided from 17:30 to 18:00.
