This presentation will give an overview of the £1bn investment being made by Manchester Airport Group (MAG) to expand Terminal 2.
There will be an overview of the North West’s largest construction programme, covering all the projects and milestones. One of the principal contractors will describe the significant hurdles being overcome to achieve a spend of £1m per day in one of the most challenging construction environments – an operational airport.
Designers will then provide an insight into the design process for a key element of the works, considering technical design, coordination, safety and delivery on site. A number of videos will demonstrate the technical advances being made on the project, including use of BIM Collaboration tools and onsite quality checking using a digital platform.
This presentation should provide interest for all – particularly anyone planning on using Manchester Airport in the next few years.
