Manual for Streets 2

CIHT North Western Branch are holding a seminar on THURSDAY 25 NOVEMBER at the Ramada Hotel in Bolton to launch the new guidance document Manual for Streets 2 - Wider Application of the Principles.

The new guidelines take the principles set out in Manual for Streets and demonstrate, through guidance and case studies, how they can be extended beyond residential streets to encompass both urban and rural situations.  The document has been designed to assist local highway and planning authorities, as well as their consultants and contractors, to bridge the gap between Manual for Streets and the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges.

Delegates will hear first-hand from those involved in the development of the guidelines and there will be case study examples from Inverness, Blackpool and Southampton
