On the 26th March 2014 at the University of Derby and following on from the success of our half-day symposium last year this year the symposium will explore ways that highway engineering can be used to maximum benefit; both nationally and at a local level to save lives whilst also saving money. The practicalities of surface treatments and recycling will also be addressed by specialists, showing that highway engineering can be used to achieve safety and cost benefits. This symposium brings together key voices, both local and national, with responsibility for optimising highway engineering and safety as well as technical experts; each of whom has vast experience and knowledge in the highways and safety sectors.
