MEETING POINT: Meeting Point will be advised to successful applicants due to restricted numbers for this site visit.
The new 190km Orbital Highway stemmed from the intention to bypass Doha City by connecting Mesaieed and the Al Khor Road and provide connectivity to different points such as the new Hamad Port and relieving the existing traffic congestion expected to increase in the coming years.
Contract 2 is located between Salwa Road and Al Khor Road. The 42km highway consists of 7 lanes each direction (5 for light vehicles and 2 separate truck lanes), five grade-separated
interchanges, pedestrian & bicycle routes complete with overpass structures and landscaping, hardscape and irrigation works.
The site visit will include:
• Briefing in meeting room prior to site visit lead by; Nicholas Baron, Engineer, NOH2.
• Tour of the site utilising the contractor’s bus
• Stop off at key locations on the route to view the works
Key features will include Dukhan Road grade separated intersection, various highway structures, general road construction of the multi-lane highway, traffic diversion works.
