North East & Cumbria - Regional Presentations Awards

Wednesday 22nd March, 5.30pm for a 6pm start
 
Discover the regions’ latest talent at the 2017 CIHT Presentations Award competition. The event recognises the CIHT young professionals and encourages them to develop their communication and presentation skills.
 
Five young professionals have been shortlisted for the North East & Cumbria regional heats. Each will give a 10 minute presentation on their chosen topic, followed by a question and answer session, where the audience is encouraged to participate. The regional winner will have the chance to enter the National Finals which take place in London, in November.
 
Our five regional finalists are:
  • Aitor Eriz, AECOM - Pedestrian modelling & analysis of ICD-Brookfield Place, a 55-storey building at Dubai International Financial Centre
  • Zach Mabbs, TORG - The cause and impact of stress experienced by cyclists
  • Philip Miller, AECOM - An assessment of DfT's TEMPRO and the NTEM 7 forecast data sets
  • Peter Morris, Jacobs - Variable demand modelling - practical application and challenges
  • Julen Santamaria, TORG - Network screening for road safety in Tyne & Wear
Attending the event gives you a great chance to:
  • Learn about the latest developments in the highways and transportation profession
  • Test the finalists knowledge
  • Add to your continuing professional development (CPD) record
