12th March 2010
The George Hotel,
Devonshire Street,
Penrith CA11 7SU
Given the current economic climate, anticipated reduced corporate table take-up and to assist members and guests who may this year be looking to make financial savings the Northern Branch Committee have decided to move the venue and reduce ticket prices for this years annual dinner to a “recession busting” £27.50.
The branch moved from the George Hotel some 16 years ago to meet the needs for a larger venue so in effect is coming back to its roots. The dinner will provide the usual opportunity to get together, renew acquaintances, network and socialise into the early hours. As usual the bar will be open till the small hours.
Entertainment this year will be provided by our guest speaker, Norman Prince. The George is offering reduced room rates for the night and there are numerous other local hotels in Penrith Town.
