The transport sector offers a diverse range of careers, from sustainable infrastructure and transport operations to emerging mobility technologies, research and strategic leadership.
This event will give students, graduates and early-career professionals the opportunity to hear from speakers working across different parts of the sector. Through presentations, case studies and discussion, attendees will discover the projects and innovations influencing the industry and learn about the varied routes available into a transport career.
The evening will include opportunities to ask questions, connect with other attendees and continue conversations in a relaxed social setting. Refreshments will also be provided.

As part of the event, students and early-career professionals will have the opportunity to enter a competition and share their ideas about the future of transport.
Competition question: "What is the most important thing Andy Burnham should do to improve transport for everyone over the next five years?"
Entries should be submitted as either:
The question has deliberately been kept open. Entrants are encouraged to focus on an issue that matters to them and explain how transport could help address it. This could range from improving local journeys to school to considering how the UK could contribute to reducing worldwide aviation emissions.
Selected finalists will be invited to present their ideas to the live audience, with approximately five to ten minutes available for each presentation. The winner will be awarded a cash prize of £100!
The competition will close for entries on Friday 6th November.
The event is aimed principally at students, apprentices, graduates and early-career professionals and anyone considering a career in transport, mobility or infrastructure.
No extensive knowledge of the transport sector is required. The event is intended to help attendees explore the possibilities available and hear directly from people working across the profession.
