The Partners Forum is open to all employees of CIHT Partner Organisations. Each Forum panel is made up of a small group of representatives from Partner Organisations to come together to share views and opinion whilst discussing common industry issues and challenges.
The industry has a wealth of carbon calculators, tools and various methods of carbon accounting. We are also all working towards set targets for specific time periods and are acutely aware of the growing evidence and need for urgency to address our individual and collective carbon footprints.
It is also very clear that no one person, organisation or country is going to come up with the solution and action plan that will be the answer to get us all into the desired place by 2025, 2030 or 2050.
There is a growing acceptance that identifying and defining what data it is that we need to collect, how it can be measured and where to set the baseline is unclear. Equally, it is recognised that there is a need for sector-wide collaboration for any of us to succeed in addressing the carbon challenges and developing consistency of messaging.
This Forum will discuss and debate what we can and have started to do as an industry, share examples of how well we are delivering with this collaborative approach, the true cost of the net zero journey we face, how and where risk can be shared.
It will also consider any boundaries and limits on how much collaboration the organisations within the industry are willing to engage
