The tour will include the depot environment, including the plant and vehicles used by Scotland Transerv to carry out operations along with the winter maintenance equipment involved with providing salting and snow clearing on the network. In addition, visitors will also be shown the Operational Control Room and hear a presentation on winter maintenance from one of Scotland Transerv’s staff. The visit promises to provide a unique insight into the operation and maintenance of a modern road network.

Please note the Polmadie Depot is a 24 hour operational facility and the safety of staff and visitors is paramount. To take part in the tour, please bring a high visibility jacket/vest and trousers, helmet, safety glasses, gloves and protective footwear. Parking is available at Polmadie Depot.
