Reclaiming the Ring Road, Connecting Communities

Using the Department for Transports’ Manual for Streets principles: -
the case of Barton West

A seminar – conference: June 9th 2011,  9.30 am to 5.00 pm

The event is designed to address the issue of making transport connections, both to new areas of development from existing communities and from new areas into the existing city.

A local development issue has catalysed this event and it could help set the ground for a potential site-design workshop in Oxford.

A key outcome for the event is to contribute to Manual for Streets guidance in the key area of making new residential developments.

The Venue:

The Old Library, (the oldest university building still in use. A dramatic and stimulating place).
The University Church of St Mary the Virgin
High Street,
Oxford, OX1 4BJ

Cost:

£95.00 including refreshments and light lunch. Reduced cost places for non-professional members of resident groups and for built environment students, on application.
