CIHT South West is excited to offer this webinar on liveable neighbourhoods with Jamie Furlong and David Fevyer from Westminster University's Active Travel Academy.
In this session, Jamie and David will present quantitative findings from their longitudinal (2021-2025) NIHR-funded project exploring the impacts of Low Traffic Neighbourhoods (LTNs) in London. A key aim of Low Traffic Neighbourhoods (LTNs) is to improve residents’ health and wellbeing.
Findings related to two key health outcomes - road traffic injuries, active travel and air pollution – and two outcomes related to potential disbenefits of LTNs, examining impacts on congestion on boundary roads and journey times by car will be presented. Along with findings related to the impacts of LTNs on the diversity of pedestrians and cyclists.
