On 18 May 2023 National Highways released its Strategic Road Initial Report outlining the condition of England’s Strategic Road Network, the proposals for investment and delivery for 2025-2030, based on research of the priorities for customers, communities, stakeholders, and national requirement.

Adam brings together his expertise and skill in policy-making and strategic investment with his scientific approach to create strategic plans to tackle the challenges of the day and to improve transport for the benefit of its users and customers. Adam created for National Highways its Net Zero Highways: our 2030 / 2040 / 2050 plan, and its 5-year Road Investment Strategy for 2020-2025. Adam is a keen public speaker on transport and is passionate about communicating information and insights in an accessible way for all.
