Led by SoRSA. This webinar will explore Road Safety Audits in the Middle East and the differences in practices in Europe and the Middle East. This webinar will be followed by a live Q&A session.
Whilst road safety audit has been common practice for around a decade, there is still a lack of experienced and qualified road safety auditors in the Middle East region. This invariably leads to many of the larger international consultants bringing staff over from the UK and Europe to undertake RSA and road safety work. Locally in the UAE, there are also a number of consultancy contracts in road safety tendering during 2020 and 2021 which will likely increase demand for specialised staff here on both long and short term basis. This presentation addresses some of the main differences between Europe and the Middle East with regard to road safety auditing, road user behaviour, design and signs and markings standards as well as the design team response processes.
This is primarily for SoRSA members of any role or level.
