Planning & Funding our Transport Future
Supporting Recovery, Planning Beyond Recession
Thursday 18 April 2013
The Crowne Plaza Hotel, Dundalk
About the conference
The conference will review the current state of transport infrastructure development in Ireland in the context of the current economic and planning environment. Papers presented by key people in the transport industry in Ireland will consider the future direction of transportation infrastructure and policy. This is an opportunity to consider and debate future economic strategies that may affect transport and consider how transport planning decisions taken now might assist in the economic recovery of Ireland.
There will also be a panel discussion on the future of transport economics in the afternoon; the panel members will be from the worlds of finance, journalism, law, academia and transport. The purpose of the debate will be to create a debate in the panel and audience encouraging alternative and imaginative new ideas and broadening our thinking.
This conference is a forum for the exchange of experiences and ideas among engineers, planners, academics, researchers, developers, regulatory agents and project managers. It will be preceded by a conference dinner and social evening on the 17th to facilitate informal contacts between attendees. Attendance at the dinner is not dependent on attendance at the conference.
