Safe and Secure – Keeping the M25 network safe from threat

In this industry, we often talk about the safety of our road users and colleagues but don’t often consider the work that takes place to keep our highways secure and uninviting for those who may be trying to cause us harm.

This presentation will focus on CPS’ dedicated security team, including their efforts to protect the critical national infrastructure from terrorist threat, their ongoing work with the police and other agencies to stay ahead of criminals and the fight against illegal fly-tipping blighting the network.

The presentation will include a visit to the recently opened Network Security Centre – a state of the art control room comprising CCTV, ANPR and access control systems, from where all of CPS’s sites are monitored remotely.
