Join us for an exclusive opportunity to explore the vision, delivery and impact of transport investment in Leeds, and see first-hand how major infrastructure projects are helping to shape the future of the city, including a tour of the transformative Leeds Station Gateway scheme before it becomes fully operational.
The event will begin at the ITP by Haskoning office with a presentation from Paul Foster, Head of Transport Strategy at Leeds City Council, providing an overview of Leeds' wider transport vision, key strategic priorities, and progress towards creating a safer, healthier and better-connected city.
Attendees will then hear directly from the Leeds Station Gateway project team, who will provide an overview of this landmark £46.1 million scheme, outlining its objectives, design development, delivery challenges, stakeholder collaboration and the benefits it will bring to residents, businesses and visitors.
The presentations will be followed by a guided site visit, offering attendees the opportunity to view key elements of the scheme and gain insight into the challenges and opportunities associated with delivering major transport improvements within a busy city centre environment. The tour will include locations around New Station Street, Neville Street and Dark Neville Street, with discussion of the engineering, urban realm, accessibility and placemaking considerations that have shaped the project. The tour will also incorporate nearby city centre schemes such as City Square, demonstrating how individual projects connect and contribute to Leeds' wider transport strategy, supporting improved public spaces, sustainable travel and enhanced connectivity across the city.
Following the tour, attendees are invited to return to the host office for lunch and networking, providing an opportunity to continue discussions with project representatives and fellow professionals from across the highways and transportation sector.
