A unique opportunity to visit one of the largest and most interesting highway projects in our district for some time.
Visit Dates: Thursday 4 June 2009 and Thursday 25 June 2009
Construction work is well underway on the £370m 6.5km dual two-lane scheme and there is a lot to see including the 1.8km twin bore tunnel construction under the Devil’s Punch Bowl SSSI. We are to meet at the Project Offices of Mott MacDonald at the northern end of the scheme at 1.30pm for the visit that should take about 3 hours.
Please bring the following safety equipment - safety helmet, hi-visibility jacket & safety boots (not Wellingtons). There will be a limited supply on site.
