CIHT Cymru Wales is excited to offer this next instalment in the joint CPD series with ICE, CILT, Transport for Wales and Welsh Government. This webinar is on the topic of socially responsible construction clauses presented by Paul Griffiths - Head of Procurement Delivery for Welsh Government.
The Social Partnership and Public Procurement (Wales) Act 2023 establishes a statutory framework to promote well-being, fair work, and socially responsible public procurement in Wales. Part 3 of the legislation came into force in April this year.
This set out the legal requirement that Welsh public sector organisations subject to the act must deliver socially responsible procurement.
The legislation sets out a requirement for the inclusion of socially responsible construction clauses in all construction activity over £2 million.
Paul Griffiths of the Welsh Government will share information on the requirements of the act with a focus on the construction clauses. Paul will explain where you can find the clauses and what you need to do to satisfy legislation if you don’t include them all.

Anyone interested or working in Highways and Transportation, particularly those involved in procurement for construction projects over £2m.
