Join us as we support the Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE) locally as they celebrate their institutions 200 year anniversary.

 

As part of this fantastic milestone the local Branch are organising a series of guided walks around Newcastle Upon Tyne . These take into account hidden local gems within Newcastle and Gateshead which played a part in the life and career of one of Britain's (and the North Easts!) greatest Civil Engineers; Robert Stephenson.

 

These are expected to occur on the following dates;

 

• 7th June (between 6pm and 7.30pm) and;

 

• 23rd and 24th June. (Time TBC)

 

A local guide will be guiding those who attend around places that shaped Robert Stephenson's career from humble beginnings to a world renowned and recognised professional. Following the event there will be an opportunity to network and engage with like minded Transport and Engineering colleagues.
