Ryland Jones, Head of Built Environment at Sustrans Wales presents a talk on Sustrans and Active Travel in Wales.
Sustrans is one of the country’s leading sustainable transport charities and has been instrumental in helping to deliver a range of practical projects in Wales, particularly elements of the National Cycle Network. With the advent of the Active Travel Act, Sustrans is working with the Welsh Government and Local Authorities in Wales to help shape route networks that deliver real change for short journeys as well as leading on innovative design solutions that balance movement with function. Ryland Jones will provide an overview of Sustrans approach and activities, the Active Travel Act process and objectives and a perspective on the future for Active Travel in Wales.
