What to Expect:
Whether you work in transport, policy, community engagement, or simply want to be part of the solution - this webinar is for you. Let’s work together to build a transport network that’s safer, more inclusive, and free from violence.
This event is open to everyone and all are welcome, however, this webinar will be of particular valuable to:
Michael has a passion for enhancing public transport safety and accessibility. In his time with TfWM he has been instrumental in implementing innovative solutions to reduce ASB and improve the overall travel experience for passengers on all modes of Transport.
His notable achievements include leading the deployment of Transport Safety Officers across the network, which has significantly reduced antisocial behaviour on public transport. He works in close collaboration with West Midlands Police and the British Transport Police as part of the Safer Travel Partnership, ensuring a safer environment for all commuters.
Michael has also played a key role in initiatives aimed at tackling Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG), working to create safer travel environments for women and girls through targeted safety measures and community engagement.
