This workshop will provide an overview of how to prepare a technical report. A CIHT Technical Report Reviewer will also be on hand to answer any specific individual queries you may have. The experience-based technical report offers one option for CIHT CEng and IEng candidates who do not have an educational base accredited by the Engineering Council. The technical report provides the opportunity for candidates to demonstrate the equivalent knowledge and understanding of scientific and engineering principles to underpin the UK-SPEC competence standards to the same level as those who have gained accredited qualifications.
Sue Stevens, CIHT Director of Education and Membership as well as an experienced Technical Report Reviewer, will take workshop participants through the following:
• Awareness of UK Standard for Professional Engineering Competence (UK-SPEC);
• Outline of the competencies and how reviewers assess these;
• Guidance on the form/format of your submission including the use of appendices (worked examples will be available to view on the night);
• Common pitfalls; and
• Question and answer session.
Demand for this event is expected to be high and numbers are restricted, therefore payment will be required to secure your place. Please sign up below using the online facility and paying by credit card.
