CIHT Republic of Ireland is excited to offer this webinar on TFI Anseo - Ireland's Smart Demand Responsive Service with various speakers from the National Transport Authority and Local Link Mayo.
TFI Anseo is a new smart demand responsive transport (SDRT) service operating in Achill, Killarney and north-east Limerick city, initially. Using the TFI Anseo app, you can book a bus to pick you up from a location within the areas serviced in Achill, Killarney and in north-east Limerick city service areas. Unlike traditional bus services, TFI Anseo doesn’t follow a fixed route. Instead, it travels wherever passengers need to go within the service area.
Ireland’s public transport system is attracting international reference for best practice. The outcomes of this pilot are eagerly awaited but early indications show a popular transformative service with 20,000 passengers in the first six months in Limerick alone and successes in the other pilot areas of Killarney and Achill.
The aim of this webinar is to present the transport planning involved in the TFI Anseo pilot, the bespoke associated fares to use the service, the marketing work to inform the public and promote the service, and importantly service delivery, with Local Link Mayo presenting on their knowledge base for this innovate addition to the public service offering in Ireland.
Anyone interested in Public Transport, decision makers involved in planning Smart Public Transport Solutions and/or tackling disadvantage.
