‘Integrated Transport – Why is it so elusive?’
John Wylde MSc FCILT briefly describes the history of transport developments in Britain from the building of the canals and railways, pointing out many of the opportunities for integration of transport which were lost because of government indecision or even obstruction, changes of policy, vested interests, and sometimes simply lack of imagination, and considers the future prospects for transport integration.
Meeting starts at 18:45. Complimentary light refreshments will be available from 18:15.
