This year the CIHT Thames & Chilterns Branch is inviting young members of the Institution to enter the above competition.
Entrants, who should be members of the CIHT Thames & Chilterns Branch and under the age of 35, are invited to prepare a 10 minute presentation on any subject relevant to the profession. Entrants may talk about a project they have worked on, an interesting aspect of their job, a technical innovation, a research project, or some more general issue such as how to attract people to the profession.
The presentation will be followed by questions from a panel of judges, who will assess the candidates and decide the Branch winner. VolkerHighways has kindly offered to sponsor the event and donated a monetary prize of £100 to the winner, free tickets to the Branch Dinner Dance in October (see website for details) are also on offer to the winner and guest.

If you are interested in representing the Thames & Chilterns Branch please send brief details of your proposed topic along with your contact details to emily.white@jacobs.com by the end of July. Final presentations need to be with Emily by the end of August such that the entries can be reviewed and shortlisted to a final 4 who will be invited to present on 16th September.
