The Atkins Data Game is a workshop developed to get transport planners thinking about data sources, and specifically how they are used to understand transport movements. It’s designed to help transport planners to consider what the data sources can and can’t tell us, and why it’s best to work with a range of sources.
The game has been run successfully for the last few years at Transport Practitioner’s Meeting, and we’re pleased to present a new extended version with some ‘real’ numbers added!
Anyone involved in any stages of collecting or using transport data.
Tim Gent is a Technical Director working at Atkins, specialising in transport modelling and the understanding of transport demand, including strengths and weaknesses of new data sources. He has recently completed work on the DfT’s new National Transport Model for England.
