Speaker Richard De Cani (Managing Director Planning TfL)

Richard will set out the challenges London faces over the next few decades in terms of growth and consequential transport improvements required to support that growth. Despite considerable committed investment in rail and tube upgrades to date more will be required. In particular new rail schemes, such as Crossrail 2, the Bakerloo line extension, tram extensions, new rail links to maximise the development potential of HS2 in West London and further enhancements that can be made to get the most out of the suburban rail network. All of these will be required to meet London’s growth.
