Join us to hear from Hackney Council's team of experts as they share with us insights, best practice and lessons learned from their Parking Enforcement Plan (PEP). Gossica Anichebe (Policy & Projects Manager), Gulgun Chelikhan (Service Area Manager - Parking Operations) and Sheriffdeen Akinshipo (Service Area Manager - Enforcement) will be presenting, with dedicated time at the end of the event for an interactive Q&A.
CIHT South East is delighted to host this session in tandem with Hackney Council to delve deeper into the Parking and Enforcement Plan. This strategic document highlights how sustainability can be embedded into everyday parking and traffic management, treating it as a core driver rather than an add-on. Innovative policies, co-produced with residents, set the direction for climate action, equality and safer streets. These commitments are brought to life by the Parking Operations Team. Ensuring accessibility for residents, businesses, and visitors, through seamless technology, systems and trusted service delivery.
Enforcement acts as the glue, integrating policy, operations, and resident engagement to ensure The Green Kerb approach is equally effective and impactful. Using the kerbside as a lever reduces emissions, improves air quality, protects biodiversity and creates safer, healthier streets. By aligning policy, operations, technology, communications and enforcement, Hackney Council has reframed parking from a compliance-focused service into a climate and public health intervention.
Join us for an engaging and insightful session, hearing from the experts behind Hackney's innovative approach to delivering sustainability.
