Transport for the North [TfN] is developing a Transport Strategy for the North of England. Their Spring Report was published in March this year, and provides an update on the significant amount of progress made so far and sets the direction for the development of the first Northern Transport Strategy. It includes a prioritisation framework and prioritised investment programme which is underpinned by the first Northern Powerhouse Independent Economic Review.
With the Prime Minister’s recent vow to press ahead with George Osborne’s “Northern Powerhouse”, and the appointment of Andrew Percy MP as her Northern Powerhouse Minister, the agenda seems to be every bit as important as it was before the Brexit vote.
Come and hear the latest from Amy Harhoff, TfN’s Head of Policy & Strategy.
Refreshments will be provided from 6pm, for a 6.30pm start.
