Over the past 12 months, the Wales Roads Review has been considering the future policy direction for road related transport schemes in Wales in light of Llwybr Newydd, the Wales Transport Strategy, Net Zero Wales and well-being goals.
With the final report due to be published during the autumn, this event will provide an opportunity for members of professional bodies to hear from Roads Review panel members on the recommendations made about future road building. There will also be time for questions to be asked during the session.
Panel members who will be present are:
The Wales Roads Review was established by the Deputy Minister for Climate Change to examine the alignment of existing road building schemes in Wales to wider policy objectives, as well as determine the conditions under which future road building would be appropriate.
Over 50 schemes have been reviewed by the panel, while engagement with a range of stakeholders has helped to shape recommendations on future road building priorities. The Panel’s advice is currently being considered by the Welsh Government. Find out more details on the Wales Roads Review.
Matt Jones, Transport Official at Welsh Government with a consultancy background in major highways project development and delivery will also be present to answer any of your questions at the end of the event.
