Total Transport Pilot Event

In January 2015 the Government launched the Total Transport pilot fund.  Local authorities in England were able to bid for resources to implement a cross-sector integrated approach to the delivery of transport services, including health services, higher education organisations and operators.  

CIHT and Campaign for Better Transport (CBT) have played a supporting role on the Governance Board of the Network Northamptonshire Total Transport Pilot.  CIHT ran an event which highlighted some of the successful work carried out by the Total Transport Pilots - the event explored how these might be taken forward in light of the Bus Services Bill.

Aim of the event:

• To inform delegates about some of the successful pilot schemes and help attendees gain an insight into some of the innovative thinking carried out by those schemes.
• To help attendees understand how some of the work and projects might be transferred across the country.
