Transport for the South East is a sub-national transport body, speaking with one voice on the region’s strategic transport needs to improve quality of life and secure continuing sustainable economic growth.
Currently operating in shadow form, Transport for the South East is already enabling the region’s leaders to work together and directly with Government and the transport sector to shape future investment plans. A transport strategy – the region’s first – is in development and will be published for consultation in the autumn. Transport for the South East intends to secure statutory status and begin full operation in 2020.
