A Greater London Branch Young Professionals' Event
Date: Thursday 22 September
TRANSPORT PLANNING PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
Presentation starts 5.00 pm (please note the early start for this event)
Venue: Parsons Brinckerhoff, 6 Devonshire Square, London EC2M 4YE
Nearest Tube: Liverpool Street
Speaker: Michelle Wood, chair CIHT Greater London
The Transport Planning Professional (TPP) qualification has been developed by the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT) and the Transport Planning Society (TPS). It provides professional recognition for transport planners at a level similar to that of Chartered Engineer.
The TPP qualification enhances the standing of transport planning as a career and acknowledges transport planners as respected professionals, whilst encouraging the development of the skills needed to tackle the major challenges facing the transport sector in the future.
The qualification is awarded by CIHT and TPS. Candidates need to demonstrate an appreciation of a broad range of transport planning procedures and techniques, and a competence to work in some of these. The TPP is open to CIHT and TPS members, and this talk outlines what is involved in pursuing this qualification.
This event is particularly suitable for young members considering what further qualifications to seek and anyone (young or old) about to submit their application.
It has been organised by the Young Professionals’ Committee (YPC) of the Greater London Branch and there will be a social at a local pub afterward.
Event is free but you need to book a place as spaces are limited.
To book please contact Geoff Dadd on greaterlondon@ciht.org.uk
We are grateful to Parsons Brinckerhoff for hosting this event.
