This Presentation, which will be led by Michelle Wood and David Mead, is intended to help those who are planning to apply, or are currently applying, for the Transport Planning Professional (TPP) qualification, outlining the procedures and requirements for candidates.
It will cover the routes to achieving the qualification, the Portfolio of Evidence competency requirements, preparing the Portfolio of Evidence, preparing for the Professional Review interview and the interview itself, as well as the benefits of being a TPP.
A good part of the Workshop will be devoted to Questions and Answers enabling those with specific questions to put them to Michelle and David.
Michelle and David will be joined by a number of experienced reviewers and mentors including Nick Boyle (Chief Planner of London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham) and Derek Palmer (retired TRL officer and TPP Reviewer)
David Mead is CIHT’s Education and Training Manager. His background is in education, advising professionals and students on how they can achieve professional recognition through qualifications. CIHT offer access to the full range of engineering qualifications (EngTech, IEng and CEng) as well as the Transport Planning Professional (TPP) award. TPP is awarded jointly by CIHT and TPS and administered by CIHT. David will be able to advise you regarding the TPP qualification, including your route to gaining the qualification, how to apply and the assessment process.
Michelle Wood is the Head of Technical Development for PTRC. She is responsible for identifying market needs for training and for developing technical content for courses, conferences, seminars and study tours in the UK and internationally. She is an active member of CIHT London Committee for over 20 years in the various roles of Secretary, Recruitment Officer, Vice-Chair, Chair, and Professional Development Officer. As the Professional Development Officer for London, Michelle matches mentors to aspiring candidates for the TPP and CEng qualifications. She has been a TPP Reviewer and mentor since its inaugural launch on July 2008.

Members of all Regions of CIHT are welcome to attend London Region Events. We also welcome non-members as guests. It is essential to book your place. Some events may have a limited number of places so please book early to avoid disappointment.
