Joint CIHT and CILT(UK) Event: Wokingham Rail Station – Gateway Improvements
During 2013 and 2014 there will be significant changes at Wokingham Rail Station with the combination of three important projects, the New Rail Station Building and associated infrastructure, the Station Link Road & Transport Interchange and a new Access for All Footbridge with Lifts.
The talk will be given jointly by Paula Haustead asNetwork Rail Wessex Region Project Sponsor andStephen Reed from WSP UK as Project Managerfor Wokingham Borough Council's Station Link Road. This will provide a brief overview of all three projects and their origins together with an insight into the various consultation procedures and planning processes which were needed in order to take the projects forward for joint delivery.
These will highlight some of the lessons learnt on design and delivery co-ordination, legal agreements and programming for delivery.
