In an event that was carried forward from 2020 due to Covid-19 restrictions, a total of 36 members from 8 regional teams took part in the 2021 Locan Cup. North Wales Golf Club is a true Championship Links course situated in the sunny seaside town of Llandudno with excellent views over the Conwy estuary to Anglesey and the Snowdonia Mountain range.

Yorkshire & the Humber team won with a total of 89 stableford points – 10 points more than the Wales (South Wales) team that came in second place, with the South West team 1 point further back in third.

Locan Cup Committee Chairman Chris Bulman presented the Locan Cup to Yorkshire & the Humber team captain David Handson on behalf of the team (see photo). The Yorkshire & the Humber team members are, from left to right: Ian Waite, Stuart Brock, David Handson and Huw Roberts.

The best pair trophy and prizes were won by the Yorkshire & the Humber team pair of David Handson and Huw Roberts with 48 points.

Locan Cup Committee Chairman Chris Bulman praised the organisers, Mike Jones and his helpers from CIHT Cymru Wales Region and thanked all those taking part.

 He also thanked the sponsors Jones Bros Civil Engineering UK for their generous support. The generosity of the Jones Bros helped to keep the costs down for all those taking part and make it a very enjoyable event.
