After almost 20 years of being produced by Barrett Byrd Associates (BBA), Transportation Professional has moved to a new provider, Think Publishing – an award-winning publisher who specialises in membership magazines and content. Think Publishing has been awarded the contract after a tender process that ran over the last year.
Daniel Isichei, Director of Communications & Marketing, CIHT said:
“We would like to record our thanks to all at BBA and in particular ex-editor Mike Walter and his deputy Steve Dale for all the hard work and dedication they have given to CIHT and Transportation Professional over the years.
“This exciting new partnership sees Think Publishing manage CIHT’s programme of activity including but not exclusively Transportation Professional, CIHT Jobs, our digital content programme and our sponsorship activity. CIHT is looking forward to working with Think Publishing as we embed our relationship and deliver a coordinated approach to content development over the next few years.”
The move comes as part of a review of all CIHT’s member communications and will result in several new services. These will include a redesigned members’ magazine with a new approach to talking about highways, transportation and infrastructure and a new digital newsletter service to complement Transportation Professional.
These new services will see even more content on the topics, issues and people behind the big stories and projects that matter. The first edition will be released in March and more information will be available soon.
