CIHT Yorkshire & the Humber hosted their annual Awards Dinner on Thursday, 22 October which turned out to be a fantastic evening, celebrating excellence and showcasing the breadth of work going on in the region.

The Awards Dinner was held at the newly renovated The Met Hotel in Leeds, and saw a wide range of organisations represented, from local authorities, to consultancies and beyond.

The night was opened by CIHT Yorkshire & the Humber Chair, Georgia Woloszczak who thanked attendees for their longstanding commitment to improving the sector, swiftly followed by a speech from Kate Carpenter, President of CIHT, highlighting the impressive award entries from across the sector, showcasing the innovation, collaboration and professionalism that define the region. Kate also shone the light on the next generation of transport professionals, highlighting the apprenticeship route both her and Georgia followed to join the industry.

CIHT Yorkshire & the Humber was proud to have been able to contribute to their chosen charities' efforts through donations and an exciting raffle during the Awards dinner - over £1,000 were raised for St Leonard's Hospice and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance Charity.
