On the 2 December 2021, SoRSA members were notified of the details of their 2022 Annual Review. The reminder is below.

Unless you are notified by Lyn that you do not need to complete the Annual Review via sorsa@ciht.org.uk, you must complete the review to remain a SoRSA Fellow or Member and continue to use the relevant post-nominals. The Annual Review submission period will begin on Monday 1st February 2022 and end at midnight on Monday 28th February.

All submissions must be received by midnight on Monday 28th February 2022. Those received after the deadline will not be reviewed. Please remember to check your contact details and employment status are up to date.

Please Note:

  1. There will NOT be any extensions available to the timescale for submission of the Review.
  2. You will receive the outcome of your review no later than 30th April 2022 – if you haven’t received an email by that date, please contact sorsa@ciht.org.uk
  3. You remain a member of SoRSA until such a time you don’t provide an annual review, or you fail the annual review process, at that time you will be notified to cease using your post-nominals.

You will need to provide the following documentation: -

  • You are required to supply a copy of a receipt to confirm that you have paid the necessary fees either for CIHT Membership or as a Non CIHT member of SoRSA.
    • CIHT Members can download their receipt from their ‘MyCIHT’ area on the CIHT website.
  • Completed and signed Annual Review form
  • Copies of validated CPD Certificates along with a ‘Lessons Learnt’ report for each CPD entry should be provided outlining what was learnt on the course and how this new knowledge has been/will be used. If ‘self-reading’ is being used it should be structured, listing relevant topics and a ‘Lessons Learnt’ report provided. A template is also provided with the review form. CPD requirements are outlined in GG 119, 2 days CPD in a 12-month rolling period.
  • A copy of a Road Safety Audit report written by YOU in the last 24 months which has not previously been submitted. The report should contain a minimum of 6 different types of problems. A maximum of 2 reports may be supplied to reach this number of problems.
  • A checklist is now included to help you submit the correct information and to ensure Road Safety Audits are compliant to GG119. If you are not working to GG119, please supply the standard/policy you are working to in English with your review.
  • Please remember to check your acceptance emails from last year to ensure comments that were made on your 2021 Annual Review are not repeated this year. Continued failure to take into account SoRSA comments on your Annual Review will result in your membership being revoked.

SoRSA will not chase you for your Annual Review. It is your responsibility to ensure your email address accepts emails from the CIHT email address. Please ensure that CIHT has your correct contact details by contacting SoRSA or the CIHT Membership team

If anyone has any questions or issues regarding the process, please contact sorsa@ciht.org.uk
