The Central and Southern Scotland branch held its first Summer Social event on 9 June at The Outhouse in Edinburgh. A Pub Quiz, BBQ and a few drinks were the entertainment for the evening.  The grey weather may have put some people off however the attendees’ enthusiasm for quizzes and burgers was impressive and they delved into both with gusto.

The event’s main aim was to give branch members a chance to meet and mingle in a less formal setting than other events, coupled with food, drink and some healthy competition between colleagues and competitors.

Congratulations to the ‘Go Team!’, who were the quiz winners, and to Tony Kivistik who won the team’s tie-break question, for a bottle of Single Malt Whisky: how many high tensile steel wires make up one cable on the Forth Road Bridge? Answers on a postcard.

Further details of all events are available from the following committee members and from the Branch website:

Programme Officer: Steven.Revill@IBIGroup.com

Programme Assistants: Kevin.Hamilton@westlothian.gov.uk and fiona.docherty@aecom.com
