Entries to the CIHT Awards 2016 have now opened. The annual award ceremony recognises best practice in the highways and transportation industry and submissions are welcome for a total of 12 categories. Submissions will be accepted for entry until Friday 11 March.
The prestigious ceremony will take place in the Pavilion at the Tower of London on Thursday 9 June. The event will celebrate the best of the sector and the professionals who have helped to make a real impact in their field.
This year sees the launch of a new Sustainable Transport award. This recognises the contribution of transport to social, economic and environmental sustainability. Judges will welcome entries that deliver mode shift towards more sustainable modes of transport.
CIHT Director of Communications Daniel Isichei said: “The CIHT Awards are established as a benchmark of industry excellence. By entering these awards companies have the opportunity to put themselves and their projects forward as examples of good practice.”
The 12 awards categories are: Partnerships, Health & Safety at Work, Innovation, Major Projects, Streets & Places, Road Safety, Sustainable Transport, Technology, Sustainability, Asset Management, Reducing Sign Clutter and Skills Development.
