Tomorrow’s Engineers Week helps to promote engineering careers and hopes to inspire the diverse future workforce the industry needs and with the ongoing skills shortage, here at CIHT we want to do the same.

Back in 2020 the Global Engineering Capability Review established that the skills gap will impact areas of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in terms of clean energy, sustainable cities, and climate action. Not only that, in the European Commission Labour Shortages and Surpluses Report from 2019 construction and engineering skills were ranked as two of the most sought after in Europe.

This is the perfect opportunity for engineers and industry professionals to share their stories to inspire the next generation of engineers and technicians.

Over the week we will be sharing with you engineering features with some recently qualified engineers. From this we hope to highlight to young people that engineering is a creative, problem solving, exciting career that improves the world around us in countless different ways.
