CIHT (through Sue Percy, Chief Executive and Sue Stevens, Director of Education & Membership) met with Lord Ahmad of Wimbledon today to discuss implementing the Department for Transport’s Skills Strategy. As part of the discussions, CIHT was presenting the latest drafts of its new range of careers material for use in schools for KS1 and above. The materials will be launched in the Spring and will be rolled out for use by members and interested parties. More information will be circulated in due course.
Sue Percy, Chief Executive said:
"CIHT has played an active role in shaping the government’s skills strategy and we are pleased that the work of the Institution is referenced throughout. The Department for Transport have indicated support for our new careers materials and are taking a keen interest in how this project develops. We look forward to working with them in promoting this out to the sector."
