Today (11/11/2020) CIHT hosted a webinar about 'the biggest infrastructure project you've never heard of'. The webinar about a new geological disposal facility which is being delivered by Radioactive Waste Management (RWM) discussed how such a big infrastructure project affects transport, the opportunities for local authorities and the role of scenario planning and sustainable transport to a project like this which has a +100-year project timeline. 

The panel, which featured three representatives from RWM and CIHT trustee Lynn Basford FCIHT, discussed issues around transport planning, transport appraisal and scenario planning in relation to the project.
