CIHT members are invited to contribute their input to the Institution's response to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs' (DEFRA’s) consultation on reforming the approach to floods funding. The consultation seeks views on proposed approaches to fund and prioritise flood and coastal erosion resilience projects.

The consultation also includes a call for evidence on two wider floods investment areas - seeking views on alternative sources of funding to enable government funding to go further as well as exploring opportunities for English devolution to support flood risk management.

More information about the consultation can be found here

Please see this document for the full list of questions in one place and contextual information for each question.

If you would like to contribute to CIHT’s response to this consultation, please email technical@ciht.org.uk by COP 4 July 2025.
